Laura Kraut Starts 2019 on Top of Rolex/USEF Show Jumping Rankings

After finishing third at the FEI Jumping World Cup London, Laura Kraut and her mount Zeremonie have been awarded recognition as the Rolex/USEF Show Jumping Rider and Horse of the Week. As of December 28th, Kraut held 8355 overall points, putting her just 100 points shy of the number one rider, McLain Ward. The number three spot was captured by Kent Farrington who had a total of 6719 points.

Kraut’s third place finish in London resulted in prize earnings of over $30,000. That finish rocketed her long-time partner, Zeremonie, to the number one spot of the Rolex/USEF horse rankings with a total of 4723 points. McLain Ward’s mount Clinta finished 2018 out in second with 4500 points and Devin Ryan’s Eddie Blue rounded out the top three with 3586 points.

What will 2019 have in store for the top riders of the United States? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the winter circuit is going to be hot as riders battle it out to get a jump-start on this year’s rankings.
