Opinions about our neighbor to the North range from glowing regard and envy for their universal health care and dreamy Prime Minister to disdain for their frigid weather, Justin Bieber, and obsession with hockey.

This won’t exactly break the stereotype, but it’s definitely firmly in the “endearing Canada” aisle. Spruce Meadows in Calgary recently shared a time lapse showing just how they keep that grand prix field they are famous for so darn green and healthy through the long frigid Canadian winter.

The first major event there is just a month away, featuring the National Tournament presented by Rolex.
