HITS is pleased to have been chosen to host the USEF Junior Hunter National Championships and the USHJA Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic at HITS-on-the-Hudson for the Eighth time.

Established in 2001, the USEF Junior Hunter National Championship showcases the best junior hunters in the nation while providing riders opportunities to meet and spend time with competitors from all over the country and has quickly gained popularity. The Championship features both 3’6 and 3’3 sections and offers $60,000 in prize money.

Each year, more than 900 eligible hunters qualify to compete in the prestigious final which is held on each coast over two days and is comprised of three phases: handy hunter, classic, and under saddle phase. The overall score from the weighted sections determines the ultimate winner.

The Championship is one of several special events highlighting theHITS-on-the-Hudson Summer Series making HITS Saugerties the place to be! HITS Saugerties Summer Series runs for 3 weeks, fromJuly 18-August 6, and starts off with the North America Junior & Young Rider Championships July 18-23, in conjunction with HITS IV.

HITS V features a $50,000 USHJA International Hunter DerbySaturday, July 29, leading right up to the USEF Junior Hunter National Championship on July 31-August 1.  Stay for HITS VI which features another $50,000 USHJA Int’l Hunter Derby.

HITS will also offer a Tuesday Equitation show with qualifying classes for the Medal, Maclay, WIHS, Talent Search, Marshall & Sterling Medals, THIS and Ariat.
