Second annual tournament offers chance to give back to the equestrian community through golfing.
Wellington, FL – December 26, 2015 – This winter season, riders, golfers and the local community alike are invited to give back while golfing at the second annual Hope Through Horses Golf Tournament. The tournament returns to the Wanderers Golf Club in Wellington, Florida on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016.
The Hope Through Horses Golf Tournament, co-chaired by show jumper Lisa Jacquin and polo player Stuart “Sugar” Erskine will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and all proceeds from the event will benefit Horses Healing Hearts, a unique equine-assisted program helping children whose lives have been affected by family members with alcoholism and addiction.
“I was thinking to myself that everyone loves to golf, and that we needed to do a fun event that would coincide with the White, White West Party, benefiting Horses Healing Hearts,” Jacquin, a Horses Healing Hearts ambassador, said following last year’s tournament. “This event allowed everyone to relax while supporting a great cause. The Wanderers Club did a truly impressive job. Everyone had really good feedback about the tournament, and the generous sponsors made the day even better!”
