It’s another big weekend in the world of top notch show jumping, with two major shows on two continents looming on the horizon. (Plus we’ve got the links for some of the big national shows you’ll want to keep an eye on this weekend!)
Longines Global Champions Tour – Vienna
In the penultimate stop of this incredible season abroad, the world’s very best will be setting up camp in one of my personal favorite cities in Europe, Vienna, Austria. This is the city’s fifth time hosting the tour, and it always makes for a very picturesque setting!
Friday will feature two CSI5* classes, a €10,000 1.45 m class and a €35,000 1.55 m class as the Friday finale event.
Saturday hosts the main event, the LGCT €300,000 Grand Prix, and Sunday the Global Champions League. Local spectators will also be treated to a Working Equitation event, a trotting race, and fashion show, because it’s the LGCT, where anything can happen.

American Gold Cup – Old Salem Farm
One of the most beautiful and historic venues in the United States, Old Salem Farm once again brings us the most beloved cap to the summer season, the American Gold Cup. There is a free livestream of the event, which plays on the homepage of the website. (link below)
Historically, the American Gold Cup has attracted top horses and riders from around the world to compete in prominent show jumping classes and this year is no exception. Some of the riders set to participate include Kent Farrington, Beezie Madden, Shane Sweetnam, Conor Swail, Emanuel Andrade, and many more. Fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the competitors at an autograph signing following the final awards ceremony of the main event, the $216,000 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping New York.
