Annville, PA – April 12, 2016 – Show results from the winter competition season brought several changes to the top of the leaderboards in the North American League (NAL) divisions as riders continue their quest to earn precious points for a spots in the NAL Finals which will be held at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and Las Vegas National Horse Show this fall.

Olivia Lawton and Cassandra Dreams have moved into first place in the Adult Jumper Division Presented by SmartPak, 426 points ahead of last month’s leader Lindsey Tomeu aboard Bonapart. As of April 1, Lawton, of Burr Ridge, IL jumped ahead of Tomeu, of Wellington, FL into first place with a total of 4,013 points while Tomeu dropped into second place with a total of 3,587 points. Mary Kate Olsen of New York, NY has proved very competitive in the division and now sits in third place aboard Feu D’Amour with 2,424 points.

Phoebe Alwine of Delray Beach, FL and Zenith Dance have maintained their lead in the Children’s Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit with 4,702 points – over 2,300 points ahead of her nearest rival, Taje Lynn Warrick of Davie, FL aboard Dersey who are in second place with 2,314 points. Warrick also holds third place with 2,260 points with her second mount Drommels.

Jazz J Merton of Oldwick, NJ and Ahaveros lead the Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by UltrOZ with 5,481 points, earning more than 2,100 points since February. Caelinn Leahy of Maple Park, IL and Esquilino Bay have moved into second place with 4,530 points, while Sima Morgello of Bronx, NY, and Zopala are right behind them in third place with 3,950 points.

Charlotte Williams of Fulton, MD, maintained her lead in the Adult Hunter Division aboard Frontman with a total 2,290 points. Hunter Kay of Charlotte, NC and Temptation are in second place with 1,740 points, while third placed Melanie Jeanes of Dallas, TX and Carrera put on the pressure with 1,736 points.

Annie Walsh of Cazenovia, NY and Erosmith took over the lead in the Children’s Hunter Division with 1,737 points while Helen Lohr of Warrenton, VA and Costar moved into second place with 1,222 points. Molly Canfield of Chicago, IL and Penny Lane are right behind in third place with 1,217 points.

Leading the West Coast Adult Jumper Standings Presented by SmartPak is Caitlyn Epperson of Houston, TX aboard Au Girl with 1,872 points. Earning 1,258 points so far this season, Susan Meadows of Berkeley, CA, and Topper have moved ahead of Emily Straw of Overland Park, KS, who has dropped into third place aboard Filibusterwith 1,115 points.

Katherine Gilpin of Keller, TX has taken the lead in the West Coast Children’s Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit with 1,059 points aboard Sampras. Ava De Caster of Green Bay, WI and Campbel have moved into second place with 911 points while Allison Bergmeyer of Lincoln, NE and Budapest are close behind in third place with 788 points.

Competition in the West Coast Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by UltrOZ is heating up with multiple riders who have earned over 1,000 points.  Savannah Barry of Woodside, CA leads the division with 1,640 points aboard Cocu and Megan MacPherson of Boulder, CO and Deep Snow move into second place with 1,565 points. Morgan Dickerson of Pasadena, CA and Cala D’Or 3 sit in third place with 1,400 points.

Melanie Jeanes of Dallas, TX not only has a top three placing in the Adult Hunter Division but she is also in first place in the West Coast Adult Hunter Division aboard Carrera with a total of 1,736 points. Mary Grossman of Burlington, WI has earned 1,543 points aboard Benvolio putting them in second placeand Lindsay Maxwell and Widget of Los Angeles, CA are close behind in third place with 1,230 points.

CeCe Siegfried of Tulsa, OK and Finally Found have taken the lead from Stella Wasserman in the West Coast Children’s Hunter Division with 1,165 points. Wasserman of Beverly Hills, CA and Fine Design have moved into second place with 1,080 points, while Lily Hudanick of Defiance, MO and Fair Play sit in third place with 708 points.

The NAL qualifying season runs from September 1 through August 31. NAL qualifying classes are open to all competitors but only current members are awarded points. By joining the NAL, riders can accumulate the points necessary to make it to the Finals held at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA, October 13-22, and the Las Vegas National Horse Show, in Las Vegas, NV, November 15-20. Annual memberships are only $40 per rider.
