Christian Coyle Announces Launch of Christian Coyle Show Stables

Irish rider and trainer Christian Coyle is proud to announce the launch of his new business venture, Christian Coyle Show Stables, a full-service program based in Ridgefield, CT, and Wellington, FL, specializing in the development of young horses and training of hunter, jumper, and equitation riders.

Coyle hails from Derry, Ireland, and has been riding all his life. After learning the ins and outs of show jumping in his home country, Coyle made the move to the United States in 2013 and has ridden for fellow Irish show jumper, Darragh Kerins, and Belgian broker Maarten Huygens Horse Sales, among others. He most recently spent three years as head trainer and rider at Old Salem Farm before making the decision to start his own business.

“I’m excited to launch Christian Coyle Show Stables and be able to offer a wide variety of services to riders who want to learn more and be competitive,” said Coyle. “I also look forward to giving horse owners a great option when looking for a trainer who understands how to bring along horses and prepare them for the show ring.”

Coyle specializes in breeding, finding, and developing young equine talent to succeed at the amateur level as well as international grand prix level. Having sold promising young horses to former world number-one rider Martin Fuchs, Irish team rider Paul O’Shea, and other top riders, Coyle knows what it takes to bring horses to the top of the sport. He is currently developing a strong group of young horses that were brought up in Ireland, and he will showcase them at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, during the winter season of 2021.

Coyle’s cousin Daniel, a top-40 ranked rider in the world, has witnessed Christian’s success both in the United States and in Ireland. In their home country, Christian helped train Daniel at horse shows when he was a junior.

“Christian has a great eye for horses and a wonderful feel for them,” said Daniel Coyle. “He believes in giving horses time to develop and is good at getting the most out of them.”

With patience and an ability to match a rider with the perfect mount, Christian Coyle is also an adept trainer. He has trained students from the equitation finals, to adult hunters, and everything in between.

“I enjoy getting to know and spend a lot of time with every horse in my program,” he said. “I get to know the horses so that I can help my students understand their horse and how to get through any difficulties.”
