U.S. Olympic team silver medalist Lucy Davis has joined the Old Salem Farm team at one of North America’s top boarding, training, and horse show event facilities based in North Salem, NY.

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Davis rode on the U.S. silver medal team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Having recently relocated to the East Coast, she will now base her riding and training business out of Old Salem Farm while joining the team as trainer of the elite horses and riders at Old Salem Farm.

“After making a move to the East Coast, I have been searching for a place to advance my work with clients as well as base my own string of horses,” said Davis, 25, who graduated from Stanford University in 2015 with a degree in architectural design and is also the co-founder of PonyApp, a stable management and horse care application launched in 2017. “Old Salem Farm is a perfect fit for both me and my horses, and I can’t wait to begin working with the team, horses, and riders at Old Salem Farm. My goal has been to establish a base where I can dedicate my time to riding, training, and building out the PonyApp platform. There’s no better place to do that from than Old Salem Farm.

“Old Salem Farm possesses a long-standing tradition of excellence within the show jumping industry and to be welcomed as part of that training staff is a real honor for me,” continued Davis, who is currently based in Wellington, FL, and will begin training and competing with Old Salem Farm South during the winter show season.

Davis’ string of horses, including her 14-year-old Belgian Sport Horse gelding and 2016 Rio Olympic mount, Barron, will call Old Salem Farm home starting in the spring of 2018. She will continue her competition season at the ever-popular Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows running May 8-13 and May 15-20, as well as participate in Old Salem Farm events, including the Old Salem Farm Fall Classic taking place September 11-16 and the famed American Gold Cup CSI4*-W on September 26-30.

Lucy’s work with us and our clients will serve to further enhance that experience and maintain Old Salem Farm’s vision for top sport.”
