In response to those who have signed up, the last time slot has been changed to a 3' session. It will take place from 3-4:30 p.m., and there are only five spots remaining! All other spots have been filled. Equestrians are also invited to step out of the show ring and audit the clinic, led by Randy Roy. Roy is a FEI and USEF R judge, course designer and acclaimed nine-time author. Auditors will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight from his unique perspective, and watch as riders get back to the basics and build upon fundamental skills. Roy's teaching philosophy is centered around the concept of less is more. He is looking forward to working with USHJA Zone 4 riders and providing instruction that can be taken with them throughout their future riding endeavors. Roy also promises that everyone, riders and auditors alike, will have a fun time! "Basics are really the groundwork for everything," said Roy. "I like to work on basics, foundation, position and a nice release. Everybody has something to learn. Participants need to come with an open mind. My hope is that trainers will bring their students to the clinic and they'll all get something out of it and spread it around. Hopefully I can make everybody a little bit better or give them something to work on to help them move forward in their careers and where they want to go in the equestrian world." Participants and one guest (per rider) can expect coffee, lunch and a free gift for each rider courtesy of the clinic's generous contributing sponsors: Carrabba's of Royal Palm Beach, SmartPak and Starbucks. Phelps Media Group, Inc. International will be onsite as the official media sponsor providing coverage of the clinic. The clinic will take place on Monday, Feb. 15 at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center and is open to all amateurs and juniors who are active USHJA Zone 4 members. Register now before spots are all gone!
