“How do horses get to this WEG thing from other countries?” asked my horse show husband one day after I hopped off a conference call regarding the ever-nearing international competition (GASP—We are just six days away).
I wasn’t sure exactly how to explain the delicate process that is shipping horses internationally, but thankfully the FEI has done all of the dirty work for me! The first 67 of 550 equine athletes has safely arrived in the United States for the upcoming World Equestrian Games. In the video below, the FEI explains all the details involved in shipping these horses around the globe.
