Harrisburg, PA – October 18, 2016 – Catch Me, a 9-year-old grey gelding, gets to add his name to an illustrious list of horses, including Riot Free and Showman, who have won the Grand Green Hunter Championship and the Kimberton Hills Challenge Trophy at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show presented by the Lindsey Maxwell Charitable Fund.
Scott Stewart and David Gochman’s Catch Me proved that no one could catch them as they won the Second Year Green Hunter Championship and the John R. Sterling Memorial Perpetual Trophy. The pair finished the division with two first place ribbons and one third place for a total of 28 points. The division win paved the way for them being named Grand Green Hunter Champions.
Reserve Champion with 27 points in the division were Christopher Payne and Maypine Farm’s Truman.
Technicolor and rider Nick Haness received one of the highest scores recorded this week at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, an 89, for their performance over fences in the First Year Green Hunter, a division which they won.

Owner Lindsey Maxwell could not have been prouder of her young horse. “This is his first indoor season and he just came out really confident,” said Maxwell. “He is a funny horse, he knows when it counts and when to step up and do his best. Nick Haness, who rides him is actually the one who imported him and I bought him from Nick in February. I will show him in the Amateur Owner Hunters later this week.
“He is so brave, nothing really fazes him. He is a really fun horse, back in the barn he is a real goof-ball. A total ham. He just happened to be the horse in the ring when the early morning TV crew was there and he saw the TV cameras and just bee-lined it straight for the camera. He loves to show off, and just loves to show. He is a very special horse and we can’t wait to see what the next couple years holds.”
Reserve Champion in the First Year Green Hunter division was Early August with John Bragg riding for owner Ann Thornton.
Early August did double duty, showing in the High Performance Working Hunter division as well as the First Year division. Early August excelled over the bigger fences, and with two first place ribbons, a second place, a third place and a fifth place, claimed the Championship title in the High Performance Working Hunter division with an astounding 31 points. For their efforts, Early August adds his name to the Cismont Manor Farm Challenge Trophy.
