George H. Morris Headed to Wrenwood Farms in Naples Florida This Weekend

Naples, Fla. – Nov. 14, 2017 – George H. Morris has been traveling throughout the country this fall hosting his renowned clinics at various venues, and the next stop on his schedule is Wrenwood Farms, in Naples, Florida. Morris is looking forward to conducting the USHJA-recognized clinic on November 18-19 as he continues on his mission of developing the sport’s next generation of riders.

After retiring as chef d’equipe of the United States Show Jumping Team, Morris has set his sights on developing the future of the sport by conducting clinics around the world. Focusing on helping riders develop correct form and function, Morris has often been referred to as the “founding father” of hunt seat equitation. Second to none, his teachings, technique and style are revered around the world. Over the course of his career, Morris has been highly successful as a rider, coach, clinician, judge, and author.

“Wrenwood Farms is proud to host a riding clinic with the legendary George H. Morris. The last time Mr. Morris was in Naples was when he was one of the distinguished panel of judges in 2008 for the Wrenwood Farms International Hunter Derby,” organizer Kelli MacDonald said. “Despite Hurricane Irma and its damage to southwest Florida, the footing in the all-weather sand ring and the grass grand prix field is exceptional.”

While spots to participate as a rider in the clinic filled up immediately, auditor positions are still available to gain knowledge from the esteemed Morris through observation. Auditing is available for those who pre-register and costs $100 per day, which includes lunch in the afternoon.

Riders and auditors will also have a chance to purchase and get their copy of Morris’ autobiography, UNRELENTING: The Real Story: Horses, Bright Lights, and My Pursuit of Excellence, signed by the renowned rider and instructor himself.

The daily clinic schedule will begin with the first group of riders at 9:00 a.m., followed by the next session at 11:00 a.m. The final group of students will ride starting at 2:30 p.m. All riders will receive a bucket of products courtesy of Finish Line Horse Products.

For those who would like to audit, please email organizer Kelli MacDonald at kelliwren@aol.com to pre-register.
