Nick Dello Joio had held the lead for most of the class and he wound up second with a clean ride in 64.870 seconds on Columbcille De Reve. Third went to Mandy Porter who finished clean in 66.000 seconds on Milano. "She is such a fast horse that she really covers ground very quickly," Campbell said of her 10-year-old Hanoverian mare. Earlier in the day, Violet Lindemann claimed back-to-back wins, riding Picobello Choppin PC to victory in the $1,000 Horseflight 1.40m Junior/Amateur Power and Speed Stake and Its Real Love VD Smis Z to the win in the $1,000 1.30m Junior/Amateur Power and Speed Stake. Elena Townsend won the $1,000 1.20m Junior/Amateur Power and Speed Stake on Bally Graffan and Joie Gatlin won the $2,000 Alimend 1.35m Jump-off class on Sandetto with Mandy Porter placing second on WT Leapfrog and Eric Navet taking third on Adelita. The Sonoma International CSI2* is hosting a variety of national and international level show jumping classes ranging in height from .85m to 1.45m with divisions for young horses, children/adult, junior/amateur and top professionals.
