Bridgehampton, NY — August 30, 2016 — Reminiscent of a classic high-end shoe store, Katharine Page was named the outstanding boutique among more than 80 boutiques at the 41st annual Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, NY.

“It is evocative of an old-fashioned store,” said Page of the booth’s design. “It was so exciting for us to be invited here, so my husband wanted to create something timeless, classic and beautiful. He wanted to make the ladies smile when they came into the store. We have wanted to come here since we started the company.”

Page and her husband Mark launched the company three years ago. As a competitor in horse shows on the “A” circuit for the last 25 years, Page became inspired by equestrian bridles when designing her line of sandals and shoes.

“We refer to it as fancy stitch. Five years ago I couldn’t stop thinking about incorporating that into a line of sandals and shoes. When I started working on them my goal was to make them as comfortable as possible, so all of the shoes are lined with a little bit of padding, a material used in running shoes.”

Currently, Katharine Page is a small company by design to maintain a high level of quality. “We go to different equestrian events around the country, but to come to the Hampton Classic and win a blue ribbon is very special!”
