The Americans were on fire this past week at Spruce Meadows – so much so that we’re still sharing spectacular video from it days later because there was too much to cover! But we’d be remiss not to throw down some praise on these two fantastic rounds from the ‘Friends of the Meadows Cup’ Friday night.
Kent Farrington won the class aboard the lovely leggy Gazelle, who always manages to live up to that springy name of hers, as the two bounded around the 1.60m course with ease in round one and then reprising the performance in the jump-off with a lightning fast finish of 40.59.
But Lillie Keenan and Super Sox game them a solid run for their money, coming in just behind them with a final time of 41.09. Lillie would go on the following day to help Team USA bring home the Nations Cup win aboard her other main squeeze, Fibonacci 17.

We’re sad to see Spruce Meadows go, but gearing up for a great week ahead – The American Gold Cup begins tomorrow and runs through Sunday, and we’ll see many of the same players in action there, PLUS we’ve got a reporter on the ground on the west coast at Blenheim! Keep it locked on JN for the very best H/J coverage, and Go Jumping.
