Brand new this year – U25 Jumper Section

HARRISBURG, PA – JULY 14, 2016 – The Pennsylvania National Horse Show is pleased to announce that the prize list, qualifying information and entry forms for the 2016 Horse Show are now available on line at www.PAnational.org. The 71st annual show will continue at the Farm Show Arena Complex in Harrisburg, PA, October 13-22.

Brand new this year, the U25 Jumper section has been added to the schedule. Top U.S. and foreign riders will qualify from the USEF rankings. This section will feature a $3,000 U25 Welcome Class on Thursday, October 20, a $3,000 U25 Speed Class on Friday, October 21and a $20,000 Classic on Saturday, October 22. The Leading U25 Rider and Championship will be crowned on Saturday evening prior to the $100,000 Grand Prix de Penn National, presented by the Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund.

Two sections of Junior Hunters 3’3″ will also be offered – one small and one large. Home of the Neue Schule/USEF Junior Jumper Championships and the Pessoa/US Hunter Seat Medal, the Pennsylvania National Horse Show is the launching ground for many young riders hoping to make their mark in the equestrian world.

Closing dates are as follows:
•Pre-Green Hunters accepted on a first received basis
•Hunter/Jumper Qualifying Sections – postmarked by August 24
•NAL/Side Saddle/Pessoa USEF Medal Finals – postmarked by September 1

The prize list also contains information on the new hospitality options available at “The EMO Agency Terrace Tables”. Exhibitors can also find details about Official Hotels convenient to the Horse Show.

In addition to providing information for exhibitors, the website contains vendor space applications and program advertising details. Applications are also available for eligible Junior riders to apply for The Claire Mawdsley Scholarship awards.

The Pennsylvania National Horse Show is one of the largest indoor shows in the U.S., hosting horses and competitors from across the country. Over 1,400 qualified horses compete for over $500,000 in prize money including the $100,000 Grand Prix de Penn National.
