It takes much more than the results and the victory photo to truly capture the essence of a horse show, especially one so complex as HITS Ocala. No single staged photo with blue ribbon, winner’s cooler and engraved plate can quite capture the spirit of a setting, the hours of work behind the scenes and the hundreds of other moments that pass by under the palms. Photographer-equestrian Dominique Gonzalez brings us along for the Ocala experience through the intimate lens of her camera, showing us the scenes that take place before and after the victory photo.
