State of Florida Announces Full Re-Opening: Full Steam Ahead for HITS Ocala

The HITS Ocala Winter Circuit will celebrate its 40th Anniversary when it returns to HITS Post Time Farm for 12 weeks of USEF-Rated competition in the ‘Horse Capital of the World’ this December through March.

“We are looking forward to being back in Ocala and getting started,” said Tom Struzzieri, President and CEO, HITS., Inc. “Yesterday’s announcement from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis that lifted all restrictions on Florida businesses is reassuring as we approach the start of this year’s Circuit.”

Crews are already at work making preparations for this year’s circuit. Some highlights include new temporary stalls and tents, and the installation of lights in the Main Hunter Ring and Schooling Area.

“Certainly, 2020 has been an unusual year,” said Struzzieri. “We were fortunate to have a successful summer of shows at HITS Saugerties, HITS Culpeper and HITS Chicago, and we are poised for our 40th year in Central Florida to be one of our best yet.”

This year’s season begins with the two-week Ocala Holiday Series, December 9-20, and continues with the ten-week HITS Ocala Winter Circuit, January 19 – March 28, 2021. The Season will culminate with the seventh edition of the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix on Sunday, March 28.
