Madrid was most definitely in Motion this weekend as the talented team -- comprised of Olympic-bound Pedro Veniss and newly minted team member Alberto Zorzi -- stormed around the course to capture the top slot and play spoiler to the top teams.

Over two rounds the pair collected only a single time fault, guaranteeing their victory over the dazzling Antwerp Diamonds, American Audrey Coulter and Belgian Jos Verlooy, who had a single rail between them.

The Monaco Aces (Leoppold van Asten and Maikel van der Vleuten, both of the Netherlands) also had just a rail to share between the two rounds, but had a slower combined time, forcing them to settle for third.

The home team of Valkenswaard United took a heartbreaking fourth, as John Whitaker produced two clear rounds, but American partner Emily Moffitt had a rail in each round.

Americans Jessica Springsteen, Kent Farrington, Quentin Judge, Georgina Bloomberg, and Paris Sellon were all on hand for the event as well, with Audrey being the highest-placed teammate.

Brazilian Pedro Veniss was ecstatic to have won the round as his final prep event for flying to Rio for a unique home field advantage.

"I am very happy today with my mare, she jumped fantastic and I am very happy to be with Alberto in the team. He’s a top rider and it's first time for him [with Madrid in Motion]. I will go [to Rio] tomorrow. It’s a very good feeling to win just before I go - it’s going to be two very important weeks but I think we have a good team in Brazil so I hope to do well."
