2018 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event to Include $225K FEI CSI3* Invitational Show Jumping Grand Prix

No matter what discipline you participate in, there is a good chance that you know about the iconic Kentucky Three-Day Event, now proudly sponsored by Land Rover. With a new name and a new year event organizer, Equestrian Events INC., knew they wanted to spice things up a bit to maintain the events mantra of “best weekend all year.”

The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event (LRK3DE) is America’s only four-star eventing competition and welcomes more than 80,000 spectators to watch some of the world’s top eventers all on the beautiful grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park. With $400,000 in prize money, the competition is always tight. This years LRK3DE will be held April 26-29 in Lexington and boasts a list of additional activities outside of the event itself to draw in more fans.

And this year, the LRK3DE is after our own hearts with the inclusion of not one, but two FEI show jumping classes.

A $35,000 1.45m FEI ranking class will be held in the iconic Rolex Stadium on Friday afternoon upon the conclusion of the Dressage tests scheduled for that day. On Saturday, after the cross-country action has drawn to a close, a $225,000 FEI CSI3* Invitational Show Jumping Grand Prix class will also be held in the Rolex Stadium and will no doubt draw in some exceptional riders to contest Guilherme Jorge’s course.

There is no charge for either class, however seats must be reserved ahead of time. Grounds Admission tickets into the park will need to be purchased in order to reserve a seat through the eTix system.

More information on the event and how to secure your seats for Saturday’s competition can be found here.
