Laura Kraut and Confu Win CHIO Aachen Speed Stake

Laura Kraut piloted the 9-year-old Confu, owned by St. Bride’s Farm, to the victory in the Stawag Speed Stake on Thursday at CHIO Aachen. The duo bested the field of 44 entries, tripping the timers in just 63.22 seconds for the win.Laura-Kraut press release photoLaura Kraut and Confu. PC: Shannon Brinkman for USET

“Confu was amazing today,” Kraut said. “We had the advantage of going a little later in the order, so I had chance to watch some of the others go and knew where I could make up some time. This horse is only 9, but he has been really great this year and continues to step every time I ask him to. He really turned on the speed today and I could not be more thrilled!”

Kraut will also make an appearance with her Olympic traveling reserve mount, Zeremonie, in Thursday’s Nations Cup in Aachen, and will represent Team U.S.A. alongside three members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Show Jumping Team: Beezie Madden, McLain Ward and Lucy Davis.
