10th Annual HITS Championship Adjusts Qualifying for 2020: FIVE Finals Featured!

The 10th Annual HITS Championship will take place at HITS-on-the-Hudson, in Saugerties, New York, September 2-6. The richest weekend in show jumping will feature FIVE Finals, including the AIG $500,000 Grand Prix FEI CSI5*, Black Barn Junior/Amateur-Owner/Amateur Jumper Prix, Green Hunter Prix, Diamond Mills Hunter Prix Finals and Platinum Performance Hunter Prix Finals!

With the interruptions to the show jumping calendar in 2020, HITS wants to ensure all riders have the opportunity to compete at the HITS Championship, and will be removing all qualifying criteria for this year. AIG $500,000 FEI CSI5* Grand Prix
The HITS Saugerties FEI CSI5* division is open to all riders eligible under FEI Rules and will accept unlimited entries. Definite entries are due Wednesday, August 19. Be sure to enter through HITS, and through the FEI Entry Portal.

Black Barn $100,000 Jr/A-O/Am Jumper Prix
Any Junior or Amateur jumper rider is eligible for the Black Barn Jr/A-O/Am Jumper Prix on any one horse of their choosing. Riders are limited to one horse, and may not compete in the FEI CSI5* competition the same week. There is no qualifying requirement for the class.

Diamond Mills $250,000 and Platinum Performance $100,000 Hunter Prix Finals
For 2020, riders do not need to qualify for the Diamond Mills or Platinum Performance Hunter Prix Finals. Points will be tracked for use in determining the order of go, and riders who have shown in five classes will be allowed to ride two horses, but there is no pre-qualifying necessary for this year.

Green Hunter Prix
Any horse eligible to show in Green Hunter 3′ or 3’3″ under USEF Rules may enter the HITS Green Hunter Prix. There are no qualifying or nominating requirements for 2020, though riders will be limited to three horses in the class.

Don’t forget!  For all HITS Championship classes, horses must be stabled on the grounds of HITS-on-the-Hudson by Wednesday, September 2 at 12 noon. Horses participating in the FEI Division must be checked into Secure Stabling prior to the jog at 7 am Wednesday.
