December 18, 2020 – THERMAL, Calif. – The Desert Circuit Preview (Jan. 15-17, 2021) will kick off the 2021 show season at Desert International Horse Park (DIHP). The show is part of a fun and affordable show series co-produced by DIHP and LEG Shows & Events with a focus on hunter/equitation riders up to 3’ and jumpers up to 1.20m.
“We’re excited to kick off the season with the second of our Preview shows, which offers the opportunity for riders who wouldn’t necessarily come to our main winter circuit to enjoy the horse park at a more affordable price point and also allows exhibitors coming to the main winter circuit to arrive early for an inexpensive warm up,” expressed Steve Hankin, President and CEO of DIHP. “We believe that we need to help build the base of the sport. In part that comes from creating more affordable horse shows.”
“I want people to have fun and be safe,” shared Marnye Langer, Managing Director and CFO of The Langer Group. “While it’s great for an entry-level rider to go to a big show and watch grand prix riders, it’s also good to have some shows focused on them, riders jumping up to 3’3’’ or 1.20m. It’s important for these riders to be center stage, and also get experience at a premier horse park.”
