During this unusual time for the equine industry and the world at large as the COVID-19 pandemic rocks the globe, the inventive minds behind Milestone Farm and ST Stables in Europe have developed a unique collaboration to offer excitement and opportunities to equestrians in the form of The Collection. An online auction featuring 16 hand-selected hunters and jumping horses from May 22-24, The Collection is the ideal marketplace for amateurs with elevated goals or professionals looking for a horse to take them to the next level. Promoting exemplary service and stewardship, The Collection will help organize the door-to-door logistics for each horse and will be donating a portion of every bid to UNICEF to help children affected by the coronavirus. As two of the preeminent farms in Europe, ST Stables and Milestone Farm have combined their talents to offer interested horse buyers a chance – or, rather, 16 of them – to have a new equine partner to look forward to, something desperately needed during the trying time facing the competitive equestrian industry. Possessing prestigious bloodlines such as Indoctro, Cornet Obolensky, Baloubet du Rouet, Quidam de Revel and more, the horses have been meticulously chosen to create a curated catalog featuring stallions, geldings and mares ranging in age from 5 years old to 10 years old. Thirteen of the horses are young grand prix prospects, while two horses are hunters and one is a junior with 1.40m results. Each horse’s custom catalog page features a photo and video, plus information on its pedigree, temperament, abilities and show record, if applicable. X-rays and vetting information are also available.

The starting price for each horse will be €20,000, with bids accepted beginning May 22 at 1am CEST (May 21 at 7 pm EDT) and closing 48 hours later. More than simply a horse sales platform, The Collection is striving for excellence in all areas, which is why the team behind the endeavor has pledged to facilitate transportation of the horses following the auction to anywhere in the world, will provide a health warranty as evidenced by blood tests and pre-purchase exams, and will even retain care of the horse at their expense if the border of the lucky new owner’s country is closed due to COVID-19. Trials are available for interested parties.

Prospective buyers can rest assured that the expertise brought to The Collection is second to none, with the three founders – Steve Tinti, Carlos Pinto and Willemijn Poels – possessing decades of experience between them. A renowned horse broker and owner of ST Stables in Belgium, Tinti specializes in finding showjumpers to perfectly fit a client’s needs and abilities. His partners, the husband-and-wife duo of Pinto and Poels, operate Milestone Farm in The Netherlands, one of the only major stables in Europe with a dedicated focus on the hunter discipline, in addition to jumpers. Eight languages are spoken between the three of them, meaning interested parties can expect meaningful responses to any inquiries about the catalog’s horses.
Given the current global climate, The Collection is dedicated to providing some relief to children who have been impacted by the pandemic. For every bid placed during the auction, €10 will be given to UNICEF, one of the globe’s leaders in providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. In order to slow the spread of COVID-19 and minimize its impact on children worldwide, UNICEF is working to deliver life-saving health supplies, to build water and hygiene facilities, and to keep girls and boys connected to education and protection. By participating in The Collection, you have the chance to not only add a new quality contender to your stable, but also to help the children of the world.
