The Split Rock Jumping Tour is winding down its 2021 season and we wanted to take a closer look at this unique show jumping (and sometimes hunters!) series. Created in 2015 by FEI grand prix rider Derek Braun at his Split Rock Farm in Lexington, KY, the SRJT was designed to bring the European showing experience to the United States. The focus is on providing horse, riders, and spectators with an event that is friendly and welcoming but checks all of the boxes of an internationally-ranked horse show.
This year’s tour started a bit late due to COVID, and so far has gone to Lexington, Denver, Sonoma, and Columbus. This week the tour is hosted at beautiful Bruce’s Field in Aiken, featuring a CSI3*. After that it moves on to Fort Worth, which will include a CSI4* World Cup, with an end to the 2021 series in Sarasota, Florida.
