We all know that Beezie has been a very good girl this year – despite an injury keeping her and Cortes ‘C’ out of the Olympic finals, she was still an integral part of Team USA’s success in Rio, and has otherwise been the utmost role model of horsemanship and sportsmanship. So naturally, she ought to get whatever her heart desires for Christmas, right?

Apparently she wished for a silver horse to match her hardware from Rio, because Tuesday it was announced that John Madden Sales had finalized a deal to acquire Con Taggio from Dreeling Sporthorses of the Netherlands.

Con Taggio is a seven-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding by Contagio x Goliath Life who has been coming up the ranks nicely. He’s recently been campaigned by Wilma Hellstrom, a 23-year-old rider from Sweden who has been making a splash on the international scene and trains with Otto Becker.

“Connie is a very competitive horse and we are very happy that he will have a chance to prove himself at the highest levels,” Said Dreeling Sport Horses of the sale. “He will be very missed in our stable, and we wish the new owner and Beezie a lot of luck and success with her new star.”

Merry Christmas, Elizabeth!
