Catherine Tyree Announced as Member of Major League Show Jumping Team

Team competition is coming to North America in 2021 thanks to Major League Show Jumping, and top young athlete Catherine Tyree is pleased to announce that she will be joining the A.I.M. United team for the inaugural season of competition.

Major League Show Jumping will kick off in May of 2021 in Canada, and will feature competitions at 10 world-class FEI competitions throughout the year. Joining Tyree on the A.I.M. United team will be Ashlee Bond, Sydney Shulman, Eugenio Garza, Andrew Welles and Brianne Goutal.

“I am really excited to be a part of a team for the Major League this coming year,” expressed Tyree. “I hope to give my younger horses a lot of experience with their classes. I have a few coming 9-year-olds that I’ll aim for the team competitions. I think this is a great way to support North American shows that are trying to up the ante with FEI competitions stateside and hosting 5* shows. I think it’s very important to support their efforts because they are the ones who allow us to continue doing what we do. I want to thank Morrissey Management Group and Keean White for organizing the events; I wish every team the best of luck in what is going to be a fun, competitive league!”

With the venue and line up from the team changing for each competition, Tyree is excited for the camaraderie this new format will offer at world-class horse shows throughout the year.

“Our team is filled with younger athletes that are really hungry to win,” she added. “We are all super competitive individually; every ride has had great results. I think we’ll have a lot of success as a team! I’m looking forward to a great season together.”

Following a successful summer tour at shows such as the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival and American Gold Cup, Tyree is now gearing up for competition in Wellington, Florida throughout November and December before the first Major League Show Jumping events kick off in the spring.
