Dream Farm: The Incredible Double H Farm

I actually had no idea that Double H Farm’s Connecticut location was for sale, until I started browsing through the Sotheby’s listings.  Double H Farm is an impeccable, top-class farm founded by Hunter Harrison and run by international show jumping athlete Quentin Judge and his wife, Cayce Harrison.  Previous partnerships of Double H Farm include Rodrigo Pessoa, Darragh Kerins, and McLain Ward.  It is based in Ridgefield, CT and Wellington, FL.

The Ridgefield location is absolutely gorgeous, and can you say expansive?  It was truly built for the horse and rider, with more places to ride than you can shake a stick at.  Each time you turn around, not only is there a beautiful (huge) outdoor arena, but also an enormous indoor, a gigantic, manicured field – oh, and don’t forget the bridle paths lacing the property!

9 Old Stagecoach Road, Ridgefield, CT (Double H Farm)

47 acres of WOW.

The farm boasts a house with 8 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 4 partial bathrooms, a tennis court, and a huge pool; an extra farm house; as well as a 20-stall barn with apartments, two additional offices, and of course a “party barn.”

What I wouldn’t give to ride in this arena…

Or this arena…

Or this field.

The barn itself, with its 20 stalls, offers plenty of outbuildings for storage, a large parking lot – and also note the practical, large limestone paddocks for when the weather turns too nasty for grass turnout.  Additional amenities include a kitchen, lounge, trophy room, and hot walker.

I would totally live in this stall. So airy.

Then again, the house itself isn’t bad, either…

Loving how there is turnout for days.

Not to mention I’d spend all day wandering around on these bridle paths.
