The Charity Challenge at the Winter Equestrian Festival is not only an annual crowd favorite, but a game changing opportunity for numerous charities who benefit from the spectacle. This year was no different, as several pro-am teams laid down fast and furious rounds to bring home the bacon for their charities.

The competition is held as a pro-am team relay with each team made up of junior and amateur riders competing side by side with top professionals. This year, teams were invited to dress up as characters from their favorite movies.

The winning team included Shane Sweetnam, Lindsey Tomeu, and Sedona Chamblee, team sponsors Spy Coast & Preston, and corporate sponsor Equine Tack & Nutritionals. They won $150,000 for their charity – Urban Youth Impact in West Palm Beach, an organization which assists children and teens growing up in inner-city poverty to grow and access new opportunities. This top notch team opted to dress the part of “The Flintstones”, to the delight of the crowd.

But every team was a winner (raising more than $1.6 million for their charities!), and we’re happy to acknowledge them in all their glory, thanks to photographer Susan McClafferty of Mareish Media. Check out the amazing gallery below!
