The wrong glove can make a great ride go south quickly. Gloves that are too baggy, don’t breathe or lack substantial grip are awkward and uncomfortable. Finding the right glove to suit your riding needs is imperative to improving your riding wardrobe. I have always turned to Roeckl gloves as my go-to. Not only are they super stylish and come in a variety of colors, but their construction is nothing short of superb and for something as simple as a glove, they sport a variety of features that make riding a little bit easier.
This summer, Roeckl has come out with a range of colors and cuts to suit any rider’s preferences, and they have paired up with JN to give one lucky rider a pair of Roeckl gloves of their choosing. With so many styles to choose from, we have narrowed down some of our favorites to help you make your decision a little bit easier!
My favorite has always been the Roeck-Grip; a simple yet stunning glove with feminine lines and touchscreen compatibility. Almost any time I hop down to the tack store I find myself picking up a new pair of the Roeck-Grip gloves to add to my collection. The standard black pair are perfect for the show ring, but I am dying to add a pair in their drool-worthy plume and caramel shades to my collection. The Roeck-Grip glove is comfortable, breathable and helps you maintain a secure grip on your reins. These durable gloves last me a lifetime and are a staple in my summer riding gear.
Recently, I branched out and gave the Lona glove a try. The Lona boasts many of the same features as the Roeck-Grip glove, but in a much spicier array of colors. I gave the navy/silver combination a go and let me tell you— these gloves are sexy. The silver trim detail gives you just the amount of pop to spruce up any outfit. I love the way Roeckl gloves fit, and the Lona is no exception. And the best part? They are machine washable. I am definitely going to be investing in a pair of Lona gloves in the fiery fiesta red color!
If you like a little bling, perhaps you should check out the Lisboa glove. Unlike the more traditional models, the Lisboa has abandoned the simple metal logo for a larger, embellished version which will no doubt get you noticed around the barn. The brand new white and silver version screams dressage queen, but I am a big fan of the traditional marine blue and silver myself. No matter what color you choose you will always receive the same great quality one would expect out of Roeckl.
