How Bombproof Can an OTTB Be?

Can you ride your OTTB backwards over a tarp while playing the ukulele? No? Okay.

One of the common misconceptions about off the track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) is that they all come off the track hot and crazy. While this is true for some, it is definitely not a one-size-fits-all perception. Stephanie Prince, OTTB enthusiast and trainer at Hidden Creek Farm, decided to put that theory to the test.

Prince’s newest project is a four-year-old, 16.2h gelding named Pilgrim (JC: Calabraska Q B). While she originally made a traditional sale video that shows off Pilgrim’s moves on the flat and over fences, she decided to try a new method of advertising. She rounded up her students to create what might possibly be the best sale video of 2019.
