LRK3DE: Not Just Eventing – 3rd Annual Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Coming Soon

The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event is one of the pinnacle eventing competitions in the world.  It is also the highest level eventing competition (5*) in the USA, where horses and riders around the globe compete in dressage, cross country, and show jumping over massive obstacles.  However, LRK3DE is not just about eventing!  Since 2018, the Kentucky CSI3* Invitational has taken place at the Kentucky Horse Park, where over 11,000 fans cheer for 30+ international equestrians.  This year marks the third running of the Kentucky CSI3* Invitational, and fans will not be disappointed.

The competition will take place on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25, 2020 in the Rolex Stadium at the Kentucky Horse Park.  The CSI course will be designed by Guilherme Jorge, who designed the showjumping course at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Provisional Schedule

Friday, April 24

  • 5pm: Grand Prix Hospitality Tent open (ticket required)
  • 6pm: Kentucky Invitational CSI3* $36K Welcome Speed Cup 1.45m (Rolex Stadium)

Saturday, April 25

  • 12pm: Kentucky Invitational CSI3* Grand Prix Course Walk (Rolex Stadium)
  • 4pm: Kentucky Invitational CSI3* Grand Prix Opening Ceremonies (Rolex Stadium – Jumping demo presented by Hylofit immediately precedes Opening Ceremonies)
  • 4:30pm: Kentucky Invitational CSI3* $225K Grand Prix 1.60m (Rolex Stadium)

Equestrian Events, Inc. has partnered with Split Rock Jumping Tour to produce the $225K Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute on Saturday night of the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) is a non-profit charitable Kentucky corporation that was established initially to produce the 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park. Following the success of those championships, EEI established an annual event that evolved into the world-renowned Kentucky Three-Day Event which draws more than 80,000 spectators to the Kentucky Horse Park each year.

The Split Rock Jumping Tour is an internationally-recognized show jumping series now in its third year that attracts an impressive line-up of Olympic veterans and international riders. Split Rock events give competitors, sponsors and spectators an “Unparalleled Show Jumping Experience” with world-class venues, top prize money, extravagant awards and numerous first-class amenities for riders, horses, owners, sponsors and spectators.
