The stunning Scarlett du Sart Z stepped into the ring and won a lot of fans last weekend at Old Salem Farm when she quickly and daintily dominated the seven-year-old Young Jumper Final. When you see the video, it’s easy to imagine why.
The Zangersheide mare (Stakkato de Hann x First Bride) was imported earlier in the summer by Teddy Vlock at Vlock Show Stables, and Stephen Moore has the ride on her for now to get some more experience under her belt before going on to Teddy.
Scarlett was previously a developing ride for Cyril Fontaine of France.
“This is only my second show with her after she made her U.S. debut at the American Gold Cup here at Old Salem Farm two weeks ago,” said Stephen after the class. “She was really quick today and jumped very well. There were a few tricky parts in the course, but overall I think it rode nicely and it was really good for these young horses.”
The Classic Champions Young Horse Divisions joined the Old Salem Farm Fall Classic this year as a way to elevate the level and showcase the production of young horses in North America. Divisions for five-, six-, and seven-year-old horses highlighted the schedule over three days.
This lovely little lady is definitely one to keep your eye on in the years to come! Congratulations to Scarlett and her connections, and go jumping!
