Show Jumping Hall of Fame Honors 2020 Jumper Classic Series Division Winners

The Show Jumping Hall of Fame (SJHF) is pleased to recognize the four division winners of the 2020 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series. The Show Jumping Hall of Fame is also pleased to recognize the winner of the West Conference Championship which was held on September 19 at Blenheim EquiSports’ International Jumping Festival in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The East Conference Championship will be held at the National Horse Show in Lexington, KY, on October 31.
The Show Jumping Hall of Fame conducts the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series to provide an opportunity for amateur, amateur-owner and junior riders to compete at higher levels. The Series hosts separate divisions for amateur/amateur-owners and juniors in two Conferences – East and West – and follows Grand Prix rules and specifications. The Series serves as a proving ground for many who aspire to represent the United States in international competition. The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series is sponsored by SmartPak, Blenheim EquiSports, the Hampton Classic, Kentucky Horse Park, National Horse Show Association of America and United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA).
2020 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series Division Winners
Emerging as the West Conference Amateur/Amateur-Owner Champion was Jenny Calandra of Perris, CA on her horse, Shantonagh. Tied for second place were Chandler Meadows of Newport Beach, CA on Zamia 3 and Sydney Hutchins of Thousand Oaks, CA on Zorlando.

There was a tie for first place in the West Conference Junior Division. Tying for top honors were
Claire Archer of Atherton, CA on Clockwise and Brooke Morin of Laguna Beach, CA on NKH Carrido.
Taking top honors in the East Conference Junior Division was Mimi Gochman of Palm Beach, FL with her mount, Celina BH. Second place went to her sister, Sophie Gochman, who finished just 20 points behind on her horse, Saskia BH. Sophie won the division on  Bluf BH in 2018.

Finishing on top of the East Conference Amateur/Amateur-Owner Division was Erin Haas of Ann Arbor, MI on her horse, Elektrisk. Karrie Rufer of Sacramento, CA finished second on Mr. Europe.

2020 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series West Conference Championship
Zume Gallaher of San Marino, CA rode Edita to victory in the 2020 Show Jumping Hall of Fame West Conference Championship. The Championship was held during the Blenheim EquiSports’ International Jumping Festival, September 15-20, at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
Gallaher and Edita were the last to try the challenging course designed by Anthony D’Ambrosio. They wound up turning in the first and only clean round to claim the win without having to return for a jump-off. For their victory, they received an assortment of gifts that were presented by Show Jumping Hall of Fame and Blenheim EquiSports president Robert Ridland. Among the gifts were a gift certificate from SmartPak, a pair of Roeckl Equestrian Riding Gloves and a commemorative picture frame.
Gallaher, who trains with Paul Haunert of Blue Gate Stables, LLC, also took third place in the Championship with Daisy Dee 16. They finished the first round with four faults in 83.532 seconds which placed them behind the 74.294 seconds turned in on the four-fault ride by second place finisher Jenny Calandra on Shantonagh.

About the Show Jumping Hall of Fame
The Show Jumping Hall of Fame was organized to promote the sport of show jumping and to immortalize the legends of the men, women and horses who have made great contributions to the sport. The Show Jumping Hall of Fame is located at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. Plaques honoring those who have been honored with induction into the Hall of Fame can be seen at the Horse Park’s Rolex Stadium.
