What is the Show Jumping Relief Fund?

The Show Jumping Relief Fund (SJRF) was created to help the many people in the competitive equestrian industry affected by horse show closures due to COVID-19, such as: Ring crew, in-gate crew, grooms, braiders, stewards, judges, office staff, and security who are now unemployed.  Funds raised will be donated to those in need to help keep the roof over their heads and pay mounting bills.

What is the #stayathome Equitation Challenge?

Top show jumping professionals submit previously recorded rounds on the SJRF Facebook – some old rounds and some new.  Two rounds are posted each day.

YOU are the judge on their equitation.  Make a donation to the SJRF and post your numerical score in the Facebook comments for that round. After 24 hours, professional judges’ scores will be posted, with a short explanation of the scores.

At the end of this challenge, those coming closest to the professional judges’ scores are up for prizes, including lessons with the professionals during WEF 2021.

After the pros have submitted their rounds, SJRF will provide a course – YOU then can set up the course at home, record your round, and submit it for judging.

Here’s Entry #1 from Lauren Hough:

Other pros who will be submitting rounds include: Erynn Ballard, Daniel Bluman, Lillie Keenan, Jimmy Torano, Peter Wylde…and more!

Head on over to the SJRF Facebook page to donate to the fund, judge Lauren’s round above, and check out other submissions.  Make sure to “like” and follow the page so you know when more rounds are submitted.
