The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament released an announcement on March 24 that the competition will move to Traverse City. The SOJT will take place September 2-6, 2020.
Like everyone in the sport, we first and foremost are taking our athletes’ health risks very seriously. For this reason, we have in collaboration with the Morrissey Management Group, found a perfect home for The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, 2020. The SOJT, now entering its ninth consecutive year, has always endeavored to elevate the sport, the quality of service and a more gracious philosophy core to its unique operation.
“There is simply nobody I have more faith in or find myself more ideologically aligned with than Michael and Matt Morrissey; and there is no facility in the country that can rival Traverse City,” said Jeff Papows, Ph.D., Chairman and Founder of the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament.
There will be two weeks of FEI jumping competition at Traverse City in September this year. The Silver Oak Jumping Tournament CSI 2*, September 2 – 6 and week II with a Traverse city CSI 4* presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, September 9 -13.
Our loyal sponsors importantly will be as always, an integral part of our planning and execution to include our long-time presenting sponsor The Davis McCullough Foundation–the inspiration behind our animal rescue philanthropy; and Agero Corporation, the country’s largest and most innovative telematics and roadside safety service. In addition, The World Equestrian Center will be central, as will SmartPak, Equifit, Stud Tree, Tequestrian Farm, Fabbri Riding Boots, Rood and Riddle Equine Hospitals, Maartin Huyens Horse Sales, VDL Stud Farm, Greenberg Traurig Law, Willie Tynan Sales and Riding, Charleigh’s Horse Cookies, Babington Mills, Voltaire Design, J.R. Hudson Horse Transportation, GGT Footing, Grey Magna Wave, BioStar US and Cavalor Grain.
There are literally dozens of sponsors making our 501c3 charitable mission and operations possible. We are so grateful for their continued support. Details and class schedules will follow shortly but expect the best of these two worlds both Traverse City, the able Morrisey Management Group and “the rider’s horse show”, The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament. All the better given the opportunity to show at this great facility two consecutive weeks in September.
