After sailing around the first three courses of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final in Paris clear, all bets were on Beezie Madden to score the final win and secure the title. Her mount, Breitling LS, was on fire all weekend long and the pair were showing that they were the ones to beat in 2018.
The final round concluded on Sunday afternoon and the crowd held their breath as Beezie and Breitling entered the ring. Would the pair be able to execute another clear round?
And then… the unimaginable happened. The duo knocked a rail in the fourth and final round of the competition. A unanimous gasp erupted from the viewing stands. With Devin Ryan and his mount Eddie Blue already clear in the final phase, one more rail would result in Beezie and Breitling losing their spot on the leader board and bumping down to second place.
Calm, cool, and collected, Beezie continued out the course without hesitation. Ultimately, the pair’s consistency throughout the weekend would hold their spot on the podium and Beezie secured her second FEI World Cup Jumping Finals win to add to her resume.
Go Beezie and Go Jumping!
