Whether you’re currently in the market for a new horse, casually thinking about your next partner, or creating a wish list of your dream horses, read on for some horses for sale that we love.
Featured this week are sale horses from Ontario, Ohio, and Mississippi. We chose these horses for our wish list because they’re an amazing way to get a horse bred for the sport of international show jumping at a much more accessible price point compared to a fully established one actively competing. Providing that you have the experience and/or resources to break these young horses out and keep them in a program, these two year olds could be your next star!

Simba
16.2h Warmblood gelding. Very well bred 2 year old gelding. His 1 year old full sibling Belle is also for sale. Simba was free jumped this past weekend for the first time and did it like it was his 12th time, and his first time off property he walked right onto the trailer and did his thing. Very well mannered and handled daily. Going to be a star. The sire is Rash R, and the dam is from the line of Quidam de Revel and Argentinus.
Triumphant
16.0h Oldenburg gelding. Opportunity to own an exceptional hunter/dressage prospect bred to compete at top international levels. Triumphant’s sire is Dutch stallion, ES Toronoto, 2000 bay 16.2h Hanoverian, by Now or Never M (Holland) x Larinka/Belisar; grandsire, prepotent Voltaire, a consistent sire of international jumpers. Triumphant’s dam is Beach Girl, bay 16.3h Swedish Warmblood (registered in the Main Mare Book of Oldenburg NA with overall score for conformation and appearance – 98 in 2013), and on her 2 yr old inspection: 8 for type, 7 for Head Neck and Body, 7 for legs, 8 for walk and 7 for trot – total of 37 points; class II filly. Her sire was Beach Boy (oldb 1983-2015); grandsire, Zeus (oldb) out of Dutch Warmblood mare, Sefane by Lucky Boy xx. His personality is like a puppy dog, with spectacular movement. He is sweet, brave, inquisitive and loveable. He currently spends his time growing and being a horse turned out on pasture.
Insubordination
15.3h Selle Francais colt. Stunning colt. Insubordination (Roo) will catch eyes wherever he goes. Should mature to close to 17h. As a yearling, he has already started his show career. He has shown and placed in Young Horse Series and USDF In Hand shows. He is qualified for Young Horse Series year end Finals in Tryon. Roo’s sire is the Ulmar Mail who is an incredibly talented young stallion that has shown his versatility, showing both as a hunter and a jumper. Roo is out of a Thoroughbred mare that was shown successfully up to 1.20m. Unfortunately, an injury ended her career early. Roo’s dam sire is the legendary Thoroughbred stallion, Subordination. Roo is incredibly laid back. For every show in which he has competed, he had to trailer for at least 7 hours by himself, never an issue. He trailers, clips, stands for the farrier. He loves to nap and is calm enough that he naps everywhere he goes, including at shows and at the vet clinic. Roo is registered with Selle Francais and has a life time membership with USEF. This amazing horse is going places.
