Weekly Sales Circuit: Teachers to Help You Move Up

Moving up in both the show ring and at home can be tough.  It can be hard to tackle more complicated courses or bigger jumps if your horse is also in the same boat as you, facing a new level for the first time.  In cases like these, it can be incredibly helpful to lesson on a horse (or pony!) who knows the ropes, or if you’re making a lease or purchase, seek out a partner who can tolerate a mistake and help show you what to do!  These sale horses are just that. They are from Florida, and North Carolina.

Vantage

2010 17h Dutch Warmblood gelding by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve. Everything sought in a Jr/Am sweetheart: Quiet, brave, scopey and forgiving. Originally imported by Infinitty ad has been with the same owner since 2016. Took her from Pre-Childrens Hunters to 3’3” Junior Championship at Zone 4 Finals and now winning in the 3’3” AOs. Competitive in the hacks + natural hunter carriage to the jumps with a huge step and scope for 3’6”. An barn favorite and a known quality that has enjoyed great success since arriving in the US. Could take a pro around the derbies or a newbie around the Pre-Ch/AAs.

2007 15.3h Warmblood gelding. Super useful jack-of-all-trades that’s also an excellent teacher for riders moving up. Resumé features years of show experience from Florida to Capital Challenge and consistent Jr/Am miles in the Ch/AA Jumpers + all of the 3’-3’6” medals. Easy off the leg and soft in the mouth + lovely gaits and a smooth jump that are easy to sit. Excels in the jumpers but also quiet, steady and handsome enough for starting out in the equitation and already knows all the flatwork. Tolerates mistakes well and really doesn’t need a physically strong rider. Lease considered to approved show home only.
