Weekly Sales Circuit: These Bay Geldings are Anything but Plain

Horses come in a myriad of colors: Palomino, chestnut, paint, grey, black, dun, bay…There are a few colors from this list that are a bit more common, though.  Bay is one of them.  Why?  We’re not totally sure…maybe it has to do with blending in with the background, for protection against predators?

In any case, we often hear the term “plain bay wrapper” when talking sales.  A farm might have 20 bay horses and one paint.  However, these geldings we found here are anything but plain! *Insert googly eyes* These horses are from Florida, California, and New Jersey.

Nirvana

2012 17.2h Holsteiner gelding. Naturally quiet, brave to the jumps, TONS of scope. Has a show record up to the 1.30s at WEF. Nirvana has also competed with an adult and could make a super JR/AO horse. Very forgiving and can take a joke. Quiet enough that he could double or go in the direction of an Eq horse, would make a super USET horse. Open to leasing to the right situation, or lease to own situation.

Esca Drille

2010 17.3h Dutch Warmblood gelding. Esca Drille (Lexicon x Erotyka) was imported in 2016 where he has received professional training his entire career and is ready to bring a Jr/AA to the top! Esca Drille is a flashy gelding with lots of chrome and has competed internationally with notable ribbons in the US and Canada at Spruce Meadows, HITS Thermal, WEF, HITS Ocala, Showpark, Temecula and Blenheim Equisports. This horse is truly the full package with ability to go into all three rings. He has competed up to 1.30m Jumpers and also the 3’3 Adult Hunters. His large comfortable lofty gaits and gorgeous conformation make him a perfect prospect for you to stand out in the Equitation rings. He is a true 3 ring superstar with Derby potential as well.  Esco has a great mind and is very forgiving, making him perfect for a Jr/AA looking to move up. Smart, easy, and correct to ride with lots of scope.  Wonderful ground manners with a heart of gold. A gentle giant. His lovable personality makes him a barn favorite! If you want a horse who can do it all, Esco is your guy!
