Winter Equestrian Festival Update: Show to Continue at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 17

Wellington, Florida – January 17, 2016, 6:15 a.m. – Equestrian Sport Productions announces that activities at the main grounds of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center are on hold due to the anticipated severe weather system approaching the area.

All competitors, trainers, grooms, and spectators are advised to stay home and wait for further news. The Wellington area is under a tornado watch until 8 a.m., and torrential rain and high winds are expected. The decision to put the safety of horses and people involved at the facility first is paramount.

The intense storms are expected to start at 7:15 a.m., so horse show management has currently decided to postpone the start of competition. The soonest start time for the show will be 10 a.m.

Schedules will be revised based upon a tentative 10 a.m. start time and posted as soon as possible at www.PBIEC.com.
