After fifteen competitions over the past year, it is finally time for the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, this Saturday, November 20 at the O2 Arena in Prague. Each stop on the tour had an individual GP, and twelve of those were won by a different competitor (Peder Fredericson, Ben Maher, and Olivier Robert each won two!) The Super Grand Prix will have all of the winners competing for the top prizes in this €1.25 million purse. Yes, that is a euro sign! We have enjoyed checking in with the Tour all season, as it went from Doha to Šamorín, each location as beautiful as the last. As the clock winds down to this final set of competitions (the Global Champions League also has their final this week!), let’s look back at the winning rounds from the Tour.
First, the list:

First up, Niels Bruynseels and his fiery SBS stallion Delux Van T&L were the top podium finishers in Doha, back in March.

Stop two was Madrid, where Olivier Robert and his Selle Francais stallion Vivaldi Des Meneaux put in an exciting two clear rounds to grab the top check.

Peder Fredericson and Catch Me Not S inspired a lot of bad puns after their blazing fast win in the third leg, at Saint Tropez. Fredericson is already the individual champion of the tour, with the most money won over the season. He won the London LGCT GP with his Swedish WB gelding, too (and took gold and silver at the Olympics!) It’s been quite a year so far…

Ben Maher and the incomparable, unstoppable KWPN gelding Explosion W took top honors at Valkenswaard.

Next up was Stockholm, where Scott Brash and his BWP gelding Hello Jefferson couldn’t be caught. Ben won the next GP in Paris, too, this time with Ginger-Blue!

Although Ben won first in Paris, as he had already won the second place finisher Sameh El Dahan and his ISH chestnut mare WKKD Aimez Moi earned a ticket to the Super GP.

The seventh leg was Monaco, and this time the BWP gelding Idalville d’Esprit and Darragh Kenny came out ahead of everyone else.

The Berlin leg was won by Sergio Alvarez Moya and his gorgeous KWPN gelding Alamo.

Peder won the London GP, but since he had already won in Saint Tropez, second place finisher John Whitaker and Unick du Francport, a Selle Francais gelding, got the spot in the Super GP. They came in behind Peder by only .14 seconds!

The tenth leg was back in Valkenswaard, and this time Daniel Deusser and his gutsy Selle Francais stallion Bingo Ste Hermelle earned the ticket.

Hamburg was the eleventh stop, and this time Harrie Smolders and his fighter of a Selle Francais mare Une de l’Othain put in the best rounds.

Rome was the next stop, with a second week after that; Week I saw Malin Baryard Johnsson and H&M Indiana, another truly spectacular BWP mare gallop their way to the top spot.
Week II in Rome saw Olivier and Malin win first and second place, so the young firebrand Bryan Balsiger, in third, got the next spot in the Super GP with his Twentytwo des Biches, a Selle Francais mare (and a personal favorite!).

The second to last leg was in beautiful Šamorín; here another up and coming star, Spencer Smith, rode his BW gelding Theodore Manciais to the top placing.

Finally, the last leg, also in Šamorín ended with Henrik von Eckermann and his BWP stallion King Edward coming in first, earning the final spot in the Super GP with a breathtaking jump off round.
