For some, the start of the school year marks the end of the summer show season. Your beloved mount put it all out there for you in blazing hot afternoon classes, long clinics, early morning workouts.
Together, you accomplished goals, smashed expectations, and maybe occasionally just smashed into things. Maybe you had a regrouping season, or fought off injury, malady and bad luck. (Maybe you couldn’t fend it off at all.)
Regardless, it’s time to take a deep breath and exhale with gratitude. No matter how the summer season went, it was a summer spent carving out your character and digging deep and making incredible memories. Now let the ponies eat.
I love seeing him grazing happily when I leave the barn ❤️. It's been an incredibly hot and humid summer… looking forward to some crisp fall weather (in a couple of months!). #thoroughbredsofinstagram #thoroughbred #grazing #grazinghorse #paddock #pasture #retiredracehorse #recycledracehorse #floridahorse #ottbmom #ottb #horsesofinstagram
