With the ocean backdrop and the ability for beachgoers to get a first hand look at what show jumping is all about, Miami Beach is a fan favorite stop of this tantalizing tour.
We’ve rounded up all the need-to-know information to help you prepare for a weekend crammed full of excitement. Did you know that special footing is brought in to top off the Miami Beach sand to allow for better performance from the hoses competing? Take a look at part of the process below.
Fun fact ➡️ did you know the sand for the arena is imported in? The horses have specialist footing for jumping so we have it laid down especially – being extremely careful not to mix it with Miami Beach sand 🏝 Reckon they’d let us have a go at levelling it? 🤔

With a long list of spectacular horse and rider combinations, Miami Beach promises to be a weekend you won’t want to miss. Big names such as Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander, both of the Belgian brothers Nicola and Olivier Philappaerts, Eric Lamaze of Canada, and Danielle Goldstein representing Egypt will be in attendance.
The United States will also be well represented with ten top riders on site to earn their claim to fame at Miami Beach. Margie Engle, fresh off of her Grand Prix win at WEF, is giving the Miami Beach stop a go alongside Beezie Madden, Kristen Vanderveen and more. With the addition of the LGCT Super Grand Prix to be held at the end of the season, riders are fighting it out for the win in the Grand Prix at each stop to earn their qualification for the LGCT Super Grand Prix on Saturday, December 15th. The new Prague, Czech Republic venue will serve as host to the ultimate showdown in showjumping in which Scott Brash has already signed his name to with his win in the Grand Prix during the first stop of the tour in Mexico City.
Rider lists for the Miami Beach stop of the Global Champions League have not yet been released, but the competition is sure to be high stakes as riders try and take the lead currently held by the Miami Celtics. Will the Paris Panthers make a comeback or will fan favorites Valkanswaard United swoop in for an upset?
