Tis the season to test your horse’s patience, fa-la-la-la-laaaa, BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!
Yes, it’s the best holiday of the year, wherein we tempt fate on a dark and gloomy fall night by riding our horses in the crisp autumn air covered in streamers and paint and we ourselves dressed as a piñata. It’s probably not the greatest idea, but as Darwin would say, it thins the herd.

Finally took Goldrush to his first show!!!!! We did a competitive trail show, which was different considering he's never even seen or practiced any type of competitive trail. I did the youth on line and under saddle classes and the advances on line and under saddle classes. The advanced was only adults except for me and this other girl my age though. I went into it not even thinking in my mind about placing, I just was hoping he would learn something new, which he did! But luckily he also placed, which is amazing considering he's never even seen any type of variation of this and almost, if not all, the obstacles were brand new. In the youth on line class he placed 4th, in the youth under saddle he placed 4th (though everyone agreed he should've gotten 2nd), in advanced on line we had a lot of problems bc i was rushing him so we didn't place but in the advanced under saddle we got 5th, which is amazing considering he bolted over this "spider" jump that scared him and the rope that held my number got caught on my saddle horn so I got stuck😂 and then over the water box, which I couldn't get him to go through all day, he jumped around 3' over it, the photographer got a picture that I'll post soon😂 and that class had around 30 ppl in it and I was the last one to go so he was really fed up with everything bc we had been showing 8am to 7pm 😂and then he got first in his costume class!! Which was great (we were a scarecrow and a crow). I also didn't have my crow costume in this pic but here's his lol. Overall very proud of how he handled his first show and can't wait to continue showing him!! • • #horse #horses #horsesofinstagram #horseback #horsebackride #hotsebackriding #horsebackrider #aqha #competitivetrail #palomino #gelding #showjumping #showjumper #hunterjumper #hunterjumping #barrelracing #barrelracer #rodeo #roping #horsecostume #scarecrow #crow #halloweencostume #halloween #fff #follow4follow
