HITS, Inc., is proud to announce that HITS Balmoral Park in Crete, Illinois has been selected to host a Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athlete Program Clinic, June 17-21, 2018. The EAP program began in 2009 with the goal to advance the knowledge and horsemanship skills of those who are passionate about equestrian sport.
“We are very pleased to have been selected to host this EAP Regional Training session at HITS Balmoral Park,” said Tom Struzzieri, President and CEO of HITS, Inc. “It is a great opportunity for these developing riders and we are pleased to have such wonderful clinicians who will be joining us for the week as well. We can’t wait to host riders and auditors at our newest facility in the Chicago area at what was once the heart of thoroughbred and harness racing.”
Leading the EAP Clinic at HITS Balmoral Park are five-time Olympian Anne Kursinski of Frenchtown, New Jersey and Anne Thornbury of Cincinnati, Ohio, who owns and operates the Midwest Equine Rehabilitation and Conditioning Center (MERC).
Many riders who have participated in EAP Training Sessions have gone on to compete in Hunter, Jumper and Equitation show rings where they have proven to be very successful. From the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, to the FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships, and on through Medal and Maclay Finals riders have accomplished numerous championships.
