Postcard From Rome: Get Ready for the Return of the Global Champions Tour!

There has been a massive, warmblood-shaped, multimillion dollar hole in my heart the past few weeks as the Longines Global Champions Tour was on brief hiatus, but that hole has been filled by these 45 second of pure, unfiltered goodness.

I am going to predict now that the coliseum-like setting for this leg of the tour will be the most stunning and memorable stop of the 2016 season, and I can barely contain myself awaiting the start of the four and five-star classes. rome

LGCT Ranking leader Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) and second place man Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE) will be in Rome, as well as wunderkind Bertram Allen (IRL), Ludger Beerbaum (GER), and Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani (QAT), who placed sixth in his debut Olympics.

American riders in Rome for the tour as well as the Global Champions League include Lauren Hough, Laura Kraut, Emily Moffitt, Kim Prince, Schuyler Riley, and Paris Selton. This will be Kim’s debut performance in the Global Champions Tour.
