The Germantown Charity Horse Show, held in the historic suburb of Germantown right outside of Memphis, Tennessee, returned for its 70th year this weekend. In addition to hosting phenomenal hunter and jumper competition, the Germantown Charity Horse Show also features other disciplines such as at-liberty work, driving and breed classes and all for a good cause.
The 2018 charity of choice was the Exchange Club Family Center, an organization that helps reduce the number of child abuse cases in the area by offering instruction on effective parenting skills. 2018 marks the twentieth year the Germantown Charity Horse Show has raised money for this influential organization. Over the past 19 years, more than $70,000 has been raised by the Germantown Charity Horse Show to benefit the Exchange Club Family Center’s efforts.
The show rings weren’t the only highlight of this week’s competition. There was another special ring featured this weekend when one competitor used the stunning showgrounds in Germantown as the scene for a pony-perfect proposal that receives JN’s seal of approval. We have all of that and more in this week’s recap sponsored by Kentucky Performance Products, so scroll on to see all the special sights from Tennesee.
