Outside the equestrian world, French show jumper Guillaume Canet is best known as an actor, film director and screenwriter. Born to a family of horse breeders, he competed with the junior French National Equestrian Team but after a fall from his horse at age 18 he turned to acting and enrolled in drama school, which would change the course of his life.

Having starred in several films like Joyeux Noël, Love Me If You Dare and The Beach, and winning a César Award for Best Director for Tell No One, he once again turned toward his equestrian path.

In the latest episode of the Longines Masters documentary series “The Ride of My Life” he shares his story.
