Wayne, Il. – June 21, 2017 – The prize list for the prestigious 2017 Chicago Festival of the Horse to be held at The Lamplight Equestrian Center is now available to view online. Three weeks of exciting competition at the world-class, scenic facility is set to kick off on July 26.

The Lamplight Equestrian Center is the ideal location for the Mid-West equestrian scene. Nestled in Wayne, Illinois, a village that has a rich history with equines, it is the perfect summer getaway for the show season.
Recognized by WIHS and NAL, the three week competition comprising the Chicago Festival of the Horse will feature two $50,000 Grand Prix, one $25,000 Grand Prix and two $25,000 Welcome Stakes. In addition, there will be a $5,000 National Hunter Derby each week.
The eagerly anticipated Equifest I will get underway July 26 and will wrap up July 30. A $25,000 Welcome Stake will ignite the excitement of exhibitors and spectators alike for the first week of competition. Equifest I will also feature a $50,000 Grand Prix, sure to draw a great crowd to the venue.
Equifest II, held the following week August 1-6, is a packed week for World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) members with a $25,000 Welcome Stake, a $20,000 Jumper Derby, a $10,000 International Hunter Derby and another exciting $50,000 Grand Prix.
The concluding week of competition, Equifest III, will run August 9-13. A $5,000 Welcome Stake will kick off on Friday, August 11. On Saturday afternoon, competitors will have the chance to jump to victory in the $25,000 Grand Prix. Competition will conclude on Sunday, August 13.
The Lamplight Equestrian Center eagerly awaits the arrival of the 2017 Chicago Festival of the Horse, where elite hunters and jumpers from around the country will gather to vie for the honors that the show offers.
